The idea

A journey featuring cinema, women and the wonders of Sicily as protagonists, through the photographer MOJA’s lens. Twelve pictures that will make you fall in love with breathtaking Sicily.

MOJA has the exclusivity of “Women and Cinema” photography event since 2017. Following the various cases of sexual harassment and assault that have shocked the entire world and the film industry in particular, photographer MOJA and his team launched the “Women and Cinema”© photography event at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

The inspiration

Through his lens, photographer MOJA sets the female characters from 12 movies in a position of strength, telling their side of the story, giving them power, using the location as a narrative element carefully selected in accordance with the story.

Festival de Cannes 2022

See the exhibition at the Festival de Cannes 2022. The “Casa Siciliana” is located inside the Majestic Barrière Hotel, in front of the famous Palais des Festival, which shows the films in competition and welcomes an audience of stars to its legendary red carpet every year.

The wonders of Sicily

Beautifully situated in the Mediterranean, Sicily lures tourists from all over the world thanks to its varied landscape. Breathtaking beaches, mountains and volcanoes, as well as its history seduce not only regular tourists, but also professional photographers and movie productions.

Photographer MOJA

Based in Luxembourg, MOJA is a fashion photographer who has gathered around him a team of professionals who are passionate about aesthetics, fashion, performing arts, graphic design and plastic arts, architecture and decoration.

The world of augmented reality

snoopstar brings the photos to life. The augmented reality platform based in Düsseldorf, Germany, adds another dimension to the stories told. By downloading the free app and pointing the mobile camera on each photo, they unfold to moving images.
